These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Options Price Calculator (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. See also our Privacy Policy, which explains what data the Service handles and how.

1. Who We Are

"Options Price Calculator," "we," "us," and "the operator" refer to the party operating the Service. You can reach us at support@optionspricecalculator.com.

2. Acceptance of Terms

Accessing or using Options Price Calculator in any way - including building a strategy or running a calculation - constitutes acceptance of these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Service after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Age Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your country of residence if that's older, to use this Service. Options trading concepts and tools are not intended for minors. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. No Financial or Investment Advice

Options Price Calculator is an educational tool only. Nothing on this site - including P&L figures, theoretical values, strategy examples, or blog content - is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or option. Options trading carries substantial risk, including the risk of losing your entire investment, and is not suitable for every investor.

The calculator currently operates in manual input mode - it does not provide market prices. You supply your own strikes, premiums, and expirations, and you're responsible for entering and verifying those inputs before relying on any output. Theoretical values and P&L figures are produced by a CRR binomial model using a constant implied volatility you provide - a fixed snapshot, not a forecast of how volatility will actually move over the position's life - so they are estimates based on the inputs you enter, not a prediction or guarantee of what will happen in the market. These figures exclude commissions, fees, taxes, bid/ask spread, dividends, and early-assignment risk. The calculator is provided as a computational tool and does not guarantee that its formulas, calculations, or outputs are free from errors. The Service does not fetch live prices or option chains from any third-party market-data provider.

5. Acceptable Use & Anti-Scraping Restrictions

You agree to use the Service only as intended: as an interactive calculator operated by a human through a standard web browser. You agree not to, and not to attempt to:

Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data, pricing output, or page content from the Service using bots, scripts, or automated tools;
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service's client-side code beyond what your browser does to render the page, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction;
Probe, bypass, or interfere with rate limits, access controls, or other technical restrictions placed on the Service or its backend API;
Copy, reproduce, or use the Service's software, proprietary implementation, interface, or output at scale to build or operate a competing service, or resell its output as a data feed; or
Interfere with the Service's availability for other users (e.g., excessive automated requests).

We reserve the right to block, rate-limit, or deny access to any user or request pattern that violates this section.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service's software, proprietary implementation, user interface, layout, design, and original written content are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property law. This does not extend to third-party materials, open-source software, market data, or other content used under license - those remain the property of their respective owners. You may view and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or create derivative works from the Service's interface, design, or underlying code for commercial use without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PRICE, QUOTE, CALCULATION, OR FIGURE SHOWN IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR RELIABLE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. YOU USE THE SERVICE, AND RELY ON ANY OUTPUT IT PRODUCES, ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any liability, or any statutory consumer right, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OPTIONS PRICE CALCULATOR AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR TRADING LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY TRADING DECISION MADE USING IT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ASSERTED (CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE). TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED US$10.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, or any statutory consumer right, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of your country of residence. Where such mandatory rights apply, this section applies only to the fullest extent those rights permit. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You are solely responsible for verifying any input, output, or other information shown on the Service before relying on it.

9. Service Availability & Changes

No account or subscription is required, and none is guaranteed to continue indefinitely. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, without notice, and we may experience outages or maintenance windows during which the Service is unavailable. We are not liable for any unavailability of the Service or loss of your locally stored calculation history.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service should first be raised informally via Contact, and we'll work with you to resolve it. A specific governing law and venue will be named here as the Service's legal structure is finalized; in the meantime, nothing in this section deprives consumers of any mandatory rights or protections available to them under the laws that apply to their consumer relationship with the Service (see "Limitation of Liability" above).

11. Assignment

We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, to a successor entity or affiliate, including in connection with a change in how the Service is operated (for example, if operation moves from an individual to a registered company). We'll update "Who We Are" above to reflect any such change.

12. Severability

If a court or authority of competent jurisdiction - including a court applying EU or U.S. law to a specific clause - finds any provision of these Terms unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time, for example as the Service's features or how it's operated change. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; your continued use after a change means you accept the updated version.
