FAQ
- Is this financial advice?
- No. Options Price Calculator is for educational purposes only and is not financial advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or option.
- How accurate are the P&L numbers?
- Prices are computed with a CRR binomial model using constant implied volatility. This is an estimate, not a guarantee - no warranty is made as to the accuracy of any price or figure shown.
- Why CRR instead of Black-Scholes?
- CRR correctly prices early exercise on American-style options, which plain Black-Scholes ignores - this matters for deep-ITM puts and short calls held through a dividend.
- Does this pull live option chains?
- No. The calculator runs entirely in manual input mode - you type in strikes, premiums, and expirations yourself.
- Is this free?
- Yes. Options Price Calculator is free to use, with no account or subscription required.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There's no login, signup, or personal information required to use the calculator.
- Can I use this on mobile?
- Yes. Options Price Calculator works on mobile browsers, and it can also be installed as an app on your phone for offline access.
