Options Price Calculator is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, see our Contact page. For who operates the Service, see "Who We Are" in our Terms of Use.
No account needed
No account, login, or personal information is required to use Options Price Calculator. You can open the calculator and start building a strategy without signing up or giving us your name, email, or anything else. We don't have user accounts, so there's no password or profile of yours to store or lose.
What we collect
The strategies you build and the P&L matrices the calculator computes run entirely in your browser and are never sent to or stored on our servers. Calculation history is kept only in your own browser's local storage - not server-side, and not synced across your devices.
The calculator runs entirely in manual input mode - there's no live price or option-chain lookup. You type in strikes, premiums, and expirations yourself, and nothing you enter is sent to our servers.
We use privacy-friendly analytics (see below) to see aggregate traffic numbers - things like which pages are popular and roughly how many visits we get. This does not include anything you type into the calculator itself, and it does not identify you individually.
Like virtually every website, the Service's infrastructure (including Cloudflare, which we use for basic protection and to keep the site responsive) automatically logs technical request data such as your IP address, for security and abuse-prevention purposes including rate-limiting. This data isn't tied to any account, since the Service has none, and we don't otherwise collect or store personal information about you. If you email us, we receive and retain your email address and message so we can reply - we don't use it for anything else.
Cookies and analytics
We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool, hosted on our own infrastructure rather than a third party's. Plausible sets no cookies and collects no personal data - it doesn't track you individually across visits or sites, and there's no profile of you for it to build. Because nothing personal is collected, there's no cookie banner or consent choice to make; analytics runs the same way for every visitor. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not run ad networks or retargeting.
Who we share data with
We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing purposes. The only party involved in running the Service is Cloudflare (infrastructure/security, described above). Our analytics (described above) run on our own servers, not a third party's, so no usage data leaves our infrastructure.
Your choices
Since we don't have accounts, there's no profile to request or delete - the only data tied to you sits in your own browser's local storage (your calculation history), and you can clear it at any time from your browser's settings.
Children's privacy
Options Price Calculator is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country).

If we make a meaningful change to how we collect or use data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Checking back here is the best way to stay informed.
